El torneo que contó con la presencia de un centenar de jugadores, dio comienzo a las 9 de la mañana con salida al tiro y bajo la modalidad Stableford individual. Hubo dos categorías de caballeros y una para señoras con tres premios cada una, además se del premio al mejor Danés y a la mejor Danesa que constó de una cesta de vinos, green fees y entradas en zona VIP LAURO GOLF para la actuación del grupo danés Lars Liholt Band que tuvo lugar la noche de ese mismo día en La Cala de Mijas. Además hubo premios para el drive más largo y a la bola más cerca de la bandera, ambos para señoras y caballeros. Patrocinó este evento el banco danés Sydbank junto a numerosos colaboradores. IV Solkysten Tournament at Lauro Golf
Last Saturday April 9th, Lauro Golf held the IV Solkysten Tournament. Solkysten is the oldest foreign language magazine published in Spain, founded in 1981. Although the magazine is written in Danish, Solkysten counts with many Swedes and Norwegians among their readers. In addition to their journalistic work, Solkysten is also well known for organizing concerts, symposiums, golf tournaments, events, having even their own regatta. On this occassion Solkysten chose Lauro Golf to host this tournament, due to the large Scandinavian clientele who favor this Alhaurín de la Torre’s golf course, and also to the fact that their President, Ms Tove Maria Pedersen, is Danish. The modality was Stableford individual, with two male categories and one lady’s each with three prizes, there were also prizes for the best Danish lady & gent which consisted in a wine baskets, greenfees, bottles of wine and tickets with access to the Lauro Golf VIP area for the concert Lars Liholt Band at La Cala de Mijas. Furthermore there were prizes for the longest drive and nearest to the pin, both of them for ladies and gents. Sydbank was the main sponsor together with numerous collaborators.
