Desde los llanos de la Axarquía y Fuente Piedra, las cepas de uva Moscatel recogidas en su punto óptimo de maduración llegan a nuestras mesas para poder ofrecernos este exquisito vino. La Bodega Málaga Virgen que dio lugar a este vino se fundó a finales del siglo XIX (1885) cuyo fundador Salvador López López, un enamorado de todo lo relacionado con los Vinos, inicia su andadura consiguiendo fundar unas bodegas para la producción, elaboración, crianza y comercialización cuya fama se extiende en el mundo, como son los Vinos de Málaga. La competición fue un éxito desde el comienzo hasta su desenlace, donde el buen ambiente y deportividad brillaron con su presencia. La modalidad de juego fue Pareja Mejor Bola con salida desde un hoyo. Al término de la competición tuvo lugar la muy esperada entrega de premios, que fue amenizada por la caddie master de Lauro Golf Patricia B. Garret, acompañada de la representante comercial de Málaga Virgen y ex trabajadora de Lauro Golf, Mariela Gancheva y en la que se sortearon decenas de botellas de vino Cartojal.
Los ganadores fueron: Hcp Puntos 1ª posición: Eugene Gates hcp. 7,9 y Clive Naylor hcp. 12 = 40 puntos 2ª posición: Mike Furnival hcp. 7,1 y Tim Kier hcp. 8,4 = 40 puntos 3ª posición: Manuel Rosado hcp. 22,7 y Jyrki Laitinen hcp.19,4 = 39 puntos

“I Cartojal Summer Trophy”
To mark the start of the Malaga’s Fair, Lauro Golf wanted to celebrate this big party with the “1st Cartojal Summer Trophy” in which no player was left without a delicious taste of Cartojal wine, a very popular wine in the Big Fair of Málaga. The patio of the Club House was especially dressed for the occassion with the aim of creating the appropiate ambiance. This event took place last Saturday 14th August in a very warm day; but despite the high temperaturas, the journey was surrounded by a pleasant and festive atmosphere. Besides, during the game every single player was able to taste a very fresh cup of Cartojal. Once the pairs tournament was finished they could also enjoy a worthy glass of draught and a generous portion of delicious and neatly cooked meal by the hands of the cooks in the onsite Restaurant Mama Luchia Golf. From the plains of Axarquia and Fuente Piedra, Moscatel grape strains are collected at the optimum point of maturity and come to our tables to offer this exquisite wine. Malaga Virgen La Bodega which led to this wine was founded in the late nineteenth century (1885), whose founder Salvador López López, a lover of everything related to wine, starting off by getting to found a winery for the production, processing, breeding and marketing whose reputation extends throughout the world, as are the wines of Malaga. Finally at the prize giving there was a raffle of dozens of bottles. The winery of this brand was founded at the end of the 19th century(1885), by Salvador López López, an entrepreneur and enthusiast of the wine world, who used the wines made in his own presses. At present Malaga wines have received several World Awards especially for their two years oak age wines all over the world.
The competition was a success from the beginning to the end. The modality of the tournamnet was Four Ball Better Ball starting from one hole. At the end of the competition the awaited prize giving took place, held by the caddy master of Lauro Golf Patricia B.Garret, accompanied by the Malaga Virgen Representative and former worker of Lauro Golf, Mariela Gancheva.
