Este encuentro andaluz-finlandés contó con una alta participación destacando la presencia de un grupo de 15 juniors de nacionalidad finlandesa que ofrecieron un juego de calidad y dieron buena cuenta de su pasión por el golf. La competición, modalidad Stableford individual, con salida a las 9 de la mañana trascurrió con total normalidad. Al término de ésta, los participantes pudieron degustar una suculenta paella acompañada de un refrigerio, servido por la nueva dirección del restaurante de Lauro Golf: “Mama Luchia Golf”, lo que contribuyó a recuperar las fuerzas tras una dura jornada de golf.
Este evento contó con numerosos premios, todo ello gracias a los patrocinadores del torneo: Shaman Spirits, Restaurante El Río, Casino Torrequebrada, Salón de Belleza Tuulikki Hopponen, Restaurante Griego Dyonisos, Salón DK, Restaurante Dos Leones y la colaboración del Museo Picasso.
Se estableció dos categorías:una para señoras y otra para caballeros, con tres clasificados en cada una, además de un premio de señora y otro de caballero para la bola más cercana a la bandera. Pero el premio más destacado fue a parar al premio Scratch. Los ganadores de cada categoría fueron:

Multicultural meeting at Lauro Golf
Thanks to the dry and sunny weather of last Saturday February the 27th, the second tournament could be held at Lauro Golf, which celebrated both the day of Finnish culture and the day of Andalusia with the “Kalevalan päivä / Día de Andalucía” competition. Andalusian and Finnish flags were hanging as a symbol of brotherhood that has long joined the Finnish community, with a floating population of approx. 20,000 people in the Costa del Sol, with the Andalusian one. The day of Finnish culture is also known as “Kalevalan päivä" due to the famous book “Kalevala”, an epic poem compiled by Elias Lönnrot in the nineteenth century from Finnish folk sources, and it is equivalent to the Spanish “Cantar de Mio Cid”, the Kalevala is one of the most fascinating and remarkable epics of Europe.
This Andalusian-Finnish meeting was a great success, where a group of 15 Finnish juniors demonstrated the quality of their game and gave a good account of their passion for golf.
The competition, individual Stableford modality started at 9 in the. After the game, all the participants could enjoy an exquisite paella and a refreshing beverage served by the Mama Luchia Restaurant, the new management of the main restaurant at Lauro Golf.
