21.3     65 puntos netos
2º clasificado:  Graham Broom   hcp.  6,3      70 puntos netos
3er clasificado:  Mike Widdop  hcp: 16,3      71 puntos netos

On June the 10th the last competition of the seasonal ranking was held at Lauro Golf.

The original idea for the celebration of this unique ranking came in last year, at the request of many golfers, which was an incentive and a motivation for the regular players in the weekly competitions organized by the club; these tournaments are open to both members and the rest of the public.

The competition, Medal Play modality, began at 9.20 on a cold morning, but despite the low temperatures all the participants gave a good account of their fitness and their passion for golf.

The winners of the first tournament are:

1st place: Francisco del Río Mateo                hcp. 21.3     65 net points
2nd place:   Graham Broom  hcp.  6,3    70 net points
3rd place: Mike Widdop  hcp: 16,3    71 net points

Thanks to the celebration of this tournament Mr. Francisco del Río Mateo managed to win the ranking as well as getting the first position in this last competition with the excellent score of 65 net points. Francisco received by the hands of the Caddy Master Sani Alba, a free buggy membership for an entire year, and several gifts. As it is tradition, his name will be engraved on the honorary plaque made for the same purpose which certifies that he is the absolute winner of this ranking, and that is exposed in the window of the club's honour.

Lauro Golf wants to encourage the participation of all those golfers who want to compete and improve their handicap, and at the same time will have the opportunity to be the new winners in 2009. Lauro Golf wishes to remind you that in these weekly competitions the price of green fee does not vary from the original one. The new ranking will start from the 18th July until the end of this year.
