Con una alta participación, el torneo comenzó a las 09.00 de la mañana, con salida de al tiro; la modalidad de juego fue Stableford, con tres categorías: dos de caballeros y una de damas, con tres premios en cada una. Además, hubo premio al ganador absoluto (premio Scratch) y premios al drive más largo para señora y caballero.
La recaudación de los green fees fue donada en su totalidad a esta asociación, cuya labor principal consiste en dar apoyo y consuelo a personas necesitadas. Este campeonato benéfico contó con unos estupendos patrocinadores, entre ellos: el Patronato de Turismo de la Costa del Sol, Air Berlin, San Miguel, Coca-cola, El Corte Inglés, Hotel Elimar, Hotel Tropicana, Hotel Las Pirámides, Bodegas Domeq, Charter Costa del Sol, Unicaja, Cajamar, Viajes Almeida, etc. los cuales aportaron muchos premios, entre ellos, billetes de avión, estancia en hoteles de un fin de semana, un fin de semana en crucero para 8 personas, una bicicleta, polos, y un sinfín de fantásticos premios.
Premios que fueron a parar a los mejores jugadores de la jornada, y a los más afortunados en un fantástico sorteo, llevado a cabo por Dª Celia Lázaro Gandul, perteneciente al comité organizador del Teléfono de la Esperanza. Lo más importante es que entre los green fees y venta de tickets de la rifa solidaria se consiguió recaudar una importante suma que servirá para contribuir con la maravillosa labor que realiza el Teléfono de la Esperanza. Todos los participantes fueron invitados a un cocktail en el patio de la Casa Club de Lauro Golf, cortesía del Centro Cívico.

Al final del evento, tomaron la palabra el alcalde D. Joaquín Villanova, el Presidente del Teléfono de la esperanza Juan Sánchez Porras y como representación de Lauro Golf Vicente Pitarch Ortiz para agradecer la solidaridad mostrada por parte de todos los asistentes. Cabe señalar que fue una jornada en la que todo contribuyó a que los jugadores se marchasen contentos a casa tras una jornada de golf, premios y, sobre todo, mucha solidaridad.
III CHARITY TOURNAMENT HOPE PHONE
The mayor of Alhaurin de la Torre, Mr. Joaquín Villanova, was a member of honor in the competition, together with government agencies, and numerous sponsors for their support with the IIII edition of the Charity Golf Tournament Teléfono de la Esperanza (Hope Phone) held at Lauro Golf last Saturday June the 13th.
The Hope Phone is a non-governmental organization of social action and development cooperation that offers, for free, anonymous and dedicated service by phone or personal to give support to those people who are in an emotional crisis, and it also provides a range of professional effective resources in promoting improved quality of emotional life of individuals and families.
With a high audience, the tournament started with a shot gun start at 9.00 a.m., under a Stableford Individual modality, with three categories: two for gentlemen and one for ladies. Each category had three prizes. Besides, there was a Prize Scratch and prizes for the longest drive for both ladies and gents.
The benefit of the green fees was donated in full to the association, whose main task is to give support and comfort to people in need.
This charity tournament counted with some great sponsors, including the Patronato de Turismo de la Costa del Sol, Air Berlin, San Miguel, Coca-Cola, El Corte Ingles, Hotel Elimar, Hotel Tropicana Hotel Las Piramides, Bodegas Domeq, Charter Costa del Sol, Unicaja, Cajamar, Almeida Travel Agency, etc. which provided many prizes, such as airline tickets, weekend accommodations in hotels, a weekend cruise for 8 people, a bicycle, shirts, and a host of fantastic prizes.
Fantastic prizes were given to the best players of the day, as well as to the luckiest ones in the charity raffle, held by Ms Celia Lázaro Gandul, representative of the organizing committee of the Hope Phone. The most important thing is the money collected with the green fees together with the sale tickets of the raffle helped to achieve a significant amount which will contribute to the wonderful work done by Hope Phone. All participants were invited to a cocktail in the courtyard of the Casa Club Lauro Golf, courtesy of the Civic Center.

At the end of the event, the Mayor D. Joaquín Villanova, the President of Hope Phone Juan Sanchez Porras and in representation of Lauro Golf Vicente Ortiz Pitarch gave a speech thanking the solidarity shown by all attendees. Players went home feeling happy because they spent a wonderful day of golf, prizes and, the most important, solidarity. |
