Lauro Golf cuenta entre sus abonados con un gran número de finlandeses, y es por ello por lo que ha querido rendirles homenaje con esta competición. La competición comenzó a las 9 de la mañana con salida desde un hoyo, de modalidad Stableford y contando con dos categorías, una categoría finlandesa y una no finlandesa con tres premios en cada una.
Al término de la competición los jugadores disfrutaron de una merecida tapa y caña, y más tarde se procedió a la entrega de premios llevada a cabo por las caddie masters Nina Nordenswan y Sani Alba, personal finés parlante de Lauro Golf. A continuación se realizó un sorteo con magníficos premios de los cabe destacar 3 vuelos en avioneta por la Costa del Sol cortesía de la compañía de vuelos turísticos y escuela de pilotos Air Olé, que fueron a recaer a 3 afortunados jugadores de nacionalidad finlandesa.
La gran sorpresa de la jornada fue que a pesar del reducido número de participantes femeninas, las ganadoras absolutas de cada categoría fueron dos mujeres Nicola Constantine y Jasmiina Kivini que realizaron 40 y 43 puntos respectivamente.

Gracias a la colaboración de Alhaurín Golf, Baños Árabes El Hammam de Benalmádena, Hotel Bandolero, Santa María Golf, Restaurante Santiago, Restaurante Witi y Air Olé, los ganadores pudieron recibir espléndidos premios tales como estancias de hoteles, cenas de gala, greenfees, etc.
II Vappu Tournament
Last Friday April the 17th, Lauro Golf held the II Finnish Tournament "Vappu”. It receives its name from the celebration of May the 1st, now a national bank holiday in Finland, and also one of the most popular. With “Vappu”, the Finnish society celebrates the arrival of spring and its begins the previous eve, as Havis Amanda, the mermaid statue close to Helsinki’s main market, is showered in champagne and dressed with a white cap, ritual also followed on statues all over Finland.
Among Lauro Golf members and players we find a great number of finns and this is the main reason why Lauro wished to celebrate this competition as a special hommage to them.
The tourmament started at around 9:00 a.m. from one hole, stableford modality, and with two categories, one for finnish and one for non finnish each with three prizes.
After the competition the players enjoyed a deserved tapa and beer, and straight after it started the price giving which was conducted by the caddy masters Nina Nordenswan and Sani Alba, both Finnish-speaking staff of Lauro Golf. Following this, it took place a raffle with great prizes, among them 3 fligths on a light aircraft along the Costa del Sol, courtesy of the touristic flight and pilot’s school company Olé Air, the lucky winners were 3 Finnish players.
The big surprise of the day was that despite the small number of female participants, the winners of each category were two women named Nicola Constantine and Jasmiina Kivini who made 40 and 43 points respectively.
