FRANCISCO - MARTINS LIEPA

Martins brought some presents. He did not give them to me until he learned how to say present in Spanish.

I did not know that Latvia or Riga existed.

I couldn´t expect that Martins liked dogs so much or that he played that much with Ieva.

It surprised me that his favorite food is the same as mine: potatoes.

I couldn´t imagine that Martins cried when he said goodbye. Neither couldn´t expect that my brother bursted out crying when Martins went.

MÓNICA - ANETE

Anete ate everything. She had never eaten lentils but she liked them and she ate two dishes.

We didn´t speak very much but playing with Valentina, Fani, Alicia and some other friends we came to know each other.

SALVADOR - VALTERS

Valters likes playing footbal and with the gameboy.

His favorite food is hamburger, salad and chips and he likes drinking coke.

He enjoyed every excursion (Jarapalo, La Alhambra, Ronda, Málaga, Alhaurín de la Torre). He liked the Harbour very much. He picked up a lot of shells in the brach.

His so long jorney by bus has moved me as well as the fact that it seemed that they never got tired.

LAURA - ZANE

I thought that Zane wasn´t going to teach me anything of the things they do in their country or the games they play. But I was wrong because she taught my friends and me a game called FUT: Everybody puts a foot in a place. When you say one we jump back and try stepping the others.

I liked meeting Zane very much. I would like that Zane would came back to Sapin with their friends, her teacher and the drivers.

FANI - VALENTINA

The idea of having someone at my age to play with liked me a lot.

At the beginning Valentina cried and did not speak. The second day she stopped crying and started to say hello, bye, good night, thank you, sorry... in Spanish.

On Thursday evening we went to a drawing class. Afterwards we were in a dancing class.

Her favorite subject is Art; her favorite food, ice-cream; and her sport, swimming.

At night we went to a party in Latvian honour and we finished almost asllep because it was very long.

On Friday we walked twelve kilometres in the montain. My feet were very tired because we walked very much.

I found two very good friends in Valentina and Anete. I was very sad when they went out in their blue and white bus.

FABIAN - ANDA

What a nice experience to have children from other country with us!

At the beginning Anda was ashemed because she didn´t know my language and because she wanted to stay in a girl´s house (and I also wanted a boy at home).

I thought we weren´t going to understand each other but we did!

I would have liked that thay could have satyed more in order to know each other in a better way.

NOELIA - GUNITA

Those five days have been the best days of my life because of the Latvian people. They are responsible, nice and kind. They thanked everything. They never asked for anything, you had to insist. Everything is gone very well. It has happened that you have become fond of them and, at last, I have felt sorry when they went out.

That night I stuffed myself with crying. My mother and my sister cried too.

I hope that they have arrived well and remember us. I´ll never forget Gunita, Andris and Raimons.

ISABEL - LINDA

My impressions about Latvian children:

When they arrived they did not move out the bus till the teachers told them to do it.

Linda made the bed before going to the school. She did not start eating before me. She did not leave the table before me.

Thay are tidy, clean and kind.

When they were leaving, the drivers were placing the suitcases in the bus. If somebody had three bags he placed tham together: everything very tidy.

If they explain to you something thay do it until you understand it. One evening Linda and I were at home. She was saying words in Latvian and I in Spanish. When I did not pronounce well she insisted until I did it well.

PABLO - MARTINS ZUTIS

When they arrived I was pleased and happy. I also got worked up.

If we cycled I was afraid. I did not want to go very fast in case Martins fell and we could not understand what he said.

When we did not do anythingand stayed at home, he wrote in a little notebook and in an electronic diary.

Martins did not speak very much. He always said yes when we asked him something.

When he were leaving I felt a little sorry when I saw people crying.

RAMÓN - IEVA

I had a very good time with Ieva. Her favorite sport is swimming. She hasn´t a favorite food.

All are very polite, joker and funny. They like playing board games. In the playground they felt ashamed.

Everybody gave presents to Ieva.
